If a photo is worth a thousand words then how much are the words that appear in photos worth? Not so fast all of my mathematically minded friends, it’s a trick question. If we define “worth” as the impact a subject or element has on a photo then it’s tempting to say that more words equal more value. However too many words just become a background murmur. But just a few words in a photo can shout. The danger of course is that the words might overpower the voice of the other subjects in the photo.

I think that the moment captured in this photo is a little like a good duet - both voices play off  each other and then come together as one.
